MEET CECIL AND LEAH WHITTON
Cecil and Leah Whitton have been married since 1999 and are the proud parents of three wonderful children—Hudson, Houston, and Hinsley—as well as their bonus daughter, Malia. Their journey together began at Southwestern Assemblies of God University, where Cecil earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Cross-Cultural Ministries and Leah earned a Bachelor’s in Marriage and Family Counseling, followed by a Master’s in Education.
Leah has served the community as a literacy consultant for several local school districts, while also contributing to LifePoint Church’s growth as a key staff member. Her heart for education and community service has helped shape the church’s impact in the area.
In 2005, God called Cecil and Leah to Pearland to plant LifePoint Church. With limited resources, they stepped out in faith, even living in a small Sunday school room during their first year. Through their dedication, they laid the foundation for a church that would become a thriving family of believers, committed to developing lifelong followers of Jesus.
Today, LifePoint is a vibrant, multi-ethnic congregation where people from all walks of life encounter God’s love and truth. Cecil and Leah’s passion for discipleship and global missions continues to inspire the church’s vision, empowering individuals to deepen their faith and share the message of Christ beyond the walls of the church. Through their unwavering faithfulness, LifePoint has become a place where lives are transformed, relationships are restored, and Jesus is glorified.
